Looking for Lydia

Mission often begins not with a programme, but with people. Drawing on the story of Lydia in Acts 16, this workshop explores how to identify and invest in the people God is already at work among through intentional one-to-one conversations.

Using the GGCC framework—Guards, Gossips, Carers, and Connectors—participants will learn practical ways to recognise key relationships, gather a team, and cultivate communities of belonging and healing.

Through real-world stories and practical application, we will explore how churches grow through trust, connection, and participation in God's activity. We will also reflect on the personal realities of missional leadership, including navigating disappointment, coping with loss, and sustaining hope over the long haul.
