Re-Imagining Church Leadership

Vivek Gabriel

Vivek is a professional audio engineer, house church leader, and theologian-in-training. One moment he’s building high-end studio gear, next recording music with local artists, and next exploring what discipleship and mission look like within the ordinary rhythms of neighbourhood life. Alongside a small group of families, Vivek has spent the past few years immersed in the quiet, unglamorous work of local community formation. Drawing on this lived experience and recent academic engagement with works by Christa McKirland (A Theology of Authority) and J.R. Woodward (The Scandal of Leadership), amongst others, Vivek hopes to raise helpful questions and spark fresh imaginations for church leadership in Aotearoa New Zealand.
