Contemplative Prayer for Everyone
Maja Whittaker
Moments like the Asbury revival suggest a different kind of renewal—less marked by spectacle, and more by a quiet, contemplative return to the presence of God. In a noisy and restless world, the Spirit seems to be drawing many toward a slower, more attentive posture. Yet for some of us, contemplative practice has become a place of quiet shame: something we aspire to but struggle to sustain, caught between good intentions and the realities of everyday life. In this workshop, we explore a compassionate and realistic approach to contemplative practice—one that honours the limits of our lives while trusting the Spirit’s transforming work in us and through us.
